Saturday June 27th and Sunday the 28th, come join the Park County Radio Club in Fairplay for \u2018Field Day\u2019, where we will contact other Ham stations around the country and around the world. Bring your Go Box, and\/or mobile rig, or just yourself. All guests are welcome to talk on the radios (no license required) and see how they are setup with different antennas in an \u2018off grid\u2019 setting. The event will be held at W0MIL’s QTH (Just south of Fairplay, on the east side of 285). We will email you directions with your RSVP. Great event for kids of all ages!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Field Day is ham radio’s open house. Every June, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event.
