Pre notification is required if you plan to test.\u00a0 Please send an email to heck.n0dsv@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n A legal photo ID (driver\u2019s license, passport)<\/p>\n If no photo ID is available, two forms of identification:<\/p>\n Students\/minors may bring any of the above items and\/or a school ID,\u00a0minor’s work permit, report card, or a legal guardian may present a photo ID.<\/p>\n Social Security Number (SSN) or your FCC issued Federal\u00a0Registration Number (FRN); VEC\u2019s are required by the FCC to submit\u00a0either your SSN or your FRN number with your license application If applicable, bring either a photocopy of your current Amateur Radio license or a reference copy printed out from the FCC website, the license information printed from ARRL website or QRZ website, or the original(s) and photocopy(s) of any Certificates of Successful Completion of Examination (CSCE) you may hold from previous exam sessions. If your license has already been issued by FCC, the CSCE showing license credit is not needed. The photocopy(s) will not be returned.\u00a0 Instructions on how to obtain an official FCC\u00a0license copy are on\u00a0the ARRL <\/em>Obtain License Copy<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 web page.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n A calculator with the memory erased and formulas cleared is allowed.\u00a0\u00a0You may not bring any written notes or calculations into the exam session. Slide rules and logarithmic tables are acceptable, as long as they’re free of notes and formulas. Cell phone must be silenced or turned off during the exam session and the phones’ calculator function may not be used. In addition, iPhones, iPads, Androids, smartphones, Blackberry devices and all similar electronic devices with a calculator capability, may NOT be used.<\/p>\n There is a $15 fee to take the exam. The fee can be Cash or Check payable\u00a0to the ARRL-VEC. We do not have credit card processing capability.<\/p>\n The PCRC sponsors a VE team, which first administered Ham license exams on July 16, 1995. We are affiliated with, and accredited by, the ARRL – VEC.<\/p>\n The team is made up of a dozen “regular” and “reserve” VEs, all of whom are Extra Class licensees, with one exception.<\/p>\n The vast majority of the VEs are long time Hams, who love Ham radio and are anxious to help those aspiring to new and upgraded licenses.
